ABOUT ThE PRoject

We modelled a Drosophila head in Blender as part of an ongoing animation to show how the fly’s visual system works. The eyes were constructed using 3D coordinates of each lens derived from the micro CT reference data. The ultimate goal of this project, which will include other 2D illustrations, is to create standard templates for displaying components of the fly’s visual system.
